Target Lifts was appointed to modernise the lift installation at the Thames Enterprise Centre. The project involved the complete removal of the ageing lift system and the installation of a new, efficient MRL (Machine Room‑Less) lift within the existing shaft. This upgrade enhances reliability, energy efficiency, and user experience for all building occupants.
-
Challenges & Solutions - Incorrect Remdale Structure. During installation, it was identified that the supplied Remdale structure did not fit the shaft as required. Solution: New steelwork was manufactured to correct the structural dimensions, allowing installation to proceed without compromising safety or performance.
-
Water Ingress in Lift Shaft. Water entered the existing lift shaft during periods of rain, posing a risk to equipment and installation timelines. Solution: The site’s builders were deployed to resolve the ingress issue, ensuring the shaft remained dry and suitable for lift installation.
